May 07, 2019 · Does anyone have experience designation an Airport Extreme as a wireless bridge to the Cisco WRT610N wireless access point router ? I read in a Mac forum that one needs to designate the router as a WDS (wireless ditribution system), and, I have been unable to locate that setting in the manual nor the URL user-configuration pages.
I have try to set up 802.1x authentication on the fortigate, with the airport extreme in bridge mode, but as they still ask for an IP address when connected to the fortigate on the wan port, the fortigate cannot authenticate the airports and the connection isnt establish. However, if I try to connect the 2nd Apple Airport Extreme in my bedroom via an ethernet cable to the 1st AE it kills my Internet connection. Both AE's are in bridge mode.

This instructions probably also work for time capsules. There are two ways you can set up your Airport Extreme: Bridge and Share IP.
